Just an Ordinary Life in Japan (001): Rainy Season

Rainy Season

Hello everyone! It’s Mee-wa.

It’s rainy season in June in Japan.

We are annoyed because it is difficult to dry clothes and it gets moldy in the bathroom due to the high humidity.

There are bad sides about the rainy season, but on the other hand, there are also good things we can find enjoyable in this season only.

The hydrangeas bloom in June, and you can see them everywhere in your neighbor gardens.

“Hydrangea” is called “ajisai” in Japan.

There are “ajisai temples” all over in Japan, where they plant and grow “ajisais” in their gardens.

“Hondoji Temple” in Matsudo City, which is about 10 minutes away by car from where I live, is one of those ajisai temples.

Address: 63 Hiraga, Matsudo City, Chibe Prefecture, Japan

This place is loved by the local people and known as a good place to take pictures.

When I took the picture above, it was cloudy, and sometimes rainy.
But a lot of hydrangeas welcomed me in full bloom!
