Japanese Fountain Pens

“Japanese” fountain pens at this website

There may be a lot of studios or factories making “fountain pens” in the world, but the “Japanese-made” ones on this website are a little different.
The fountain pens here all have nibs that are made by hand, not by machine, created by skilled Japanese craftworkers. Mr. Kubo, a 92-year-old veteran, has been making and repairing fountain pens for the last 71 years (as of June, 2021). His apprentice, Mr. Furuta, spends days trying to take over every skill and technique Mr. Kubo has attained, making fountain pens himself as well.
