A lucky charm to pray for good weather:
-Teru-Teru Bozu-
Hi, everyone. It’s Mee-wa.
It’s getting hotter and hotter in Japan.
I remember in this season that I would often make a “Teru-Teru Bozu” when I was a kid.
This is the photo of a doll I personally made using tissue paper, and it is hanging at my window.
Japanese children make a wish on Teru-Teru Bozu that it will stop raining and clear up.
They usually do this especially the day before a big event, such as school trip, hiking, mountain climbing, sports day at school, and so on.
It’s raining now, so I make a wish on it that it will clear up and be a sunny day tomorrow too!
