What is XXX like in Japan? (6) -Movie Theaters

This movie theater is in Terrace Mall Matsudo, a new shopping mall near my house, which opened only two years ago.

I often came to this mall for shopping, but I had never been inside the movie theater, so I was a little excited!

The photo below shows the ticket machines.

In Japan, a movie ticket is usually 1,800 JPY for an adult, and 1,000 JPY for a child.  They also have discounts for senior citizens or college students.

As we go in, we see a shop for drinks and snacks.

I, of course, bought a barrel of popcorn!

This is the escalator to the theater floor, and up we go.

They check our body temperatures because of Covid-19.

The theater itself is rather small, but it is very comfortable!

After the movie is over, you can buy “movie brochures” or “movie goods/items” at the entrance of the theater.

In Japan, almost every movie has its brochure, with photos and interviews of the actors inside.

I sometimes buy a movie brochure after I see a movie, because I want to enjoy the afterglow of the movie.

I still have some movie brochures I saw in the past, and they are kind of my collection!

By the way, the movie ticket stub will be a common “coupon” that can be used at some stores in this mall.
For example, you can even get a discount coupon at McDonal’s with the ticket stub.

I got to play a claw crane game for free with the ticket stub, and I got some chocolate!

I fully enjoyed the day!!
