The photo below is “Hitachi Seaside Park” in Ibaraki Prefecture.
It is about 2 hours from Central Tokyo by car.
You can see a lot of flowers and plants in this park throughout the whole year, but the red plants in the photo can be seen only in autumn.
They are called “summer cypress” or “kochia.”
They have green leaves until summer, but they turn purple-red in autumn.
The way they are blown by wind looks like lovely animals rocking.
Around the park is a fishing harbor where you can eat and buy fresh fish.
The photo below is the food I ate, and it was absolutely delicious!
I hope that we can soon go out more easily without wearing a mask.
